La diferencia est\u00e1 en la humanidad<\/h2>\n

El gerente general de gran humanidad atiende al \u201cser humano\u201d que es cada colaborador y es sensible a cada situaci\u00f3n particular<\/h5>\n

\u00abMe estoy planteando si quedarme ac\u00e1 donde los integrantes de la c\u00fapula ejecutiva (con alguna excepci\u00f3n) se creen que el resto somos todos tarados\u201d, le escuch\u00e9 decir a un ejecutivo que tiene un cargo de responsabilidad desde hace muchos a\u00f1os. Ni la compa\u00f1\u00eda para la que trabaja ni la posici\u00f3n de este ejecutivo est\u00e1n en riesgo, pero \u00e9l parece que est\u00e1 bajando los brazos.<\/p>\n

En un caso totalmente opuesto, la semana pasada me reun\u00ed con un l\u00edder de maravillosa humanidad, cuya sola presencia genera una atm\u00f3sfera c\u00e1lida y especial. La gerenta de RRHH de la empresa me se\u00f1al\u00f3: \u201c\u00bfViste lo que es? Es que en las circunstancias actuales me quedo ac\u00e1 por \u00e9l! \u00a1se lo merece!\u201d El hecho es que esta otra organizaci\u00f3n s\u00ed atraviesa un duro proceso, como tantas empresas en Uruguay, que est\u00e1n achicando sus operaciones o las cierran. Pero aun as\u00ed \u00a1todos siguen en el barco! Lo creas o no, la diferencia est\u00e1 en la humanidad.<\/p>\n

Cada uno de estos colaboradores, a\u00fan con ansiedades y angustias propias de la incertidumbre de si tendr\u00e1n o no trabajo en breve, siguen haciendo, buscando y deseando los mejores resultados.<\/p>\n

Me saco el sombrero y comparto esta experiencia con ustedes, sobre todo porque diariamente escucho personas enojadas, desilusionadas, que se sienten avasalladas por la falta de humanidad de quienes est\u00e1n a cargo de \u00e1reas y a\u00fan compa\u00f1\u00edas donde se desempe\u00f1an. Si es una persona la que tiene estas reacciones, podr\u00edamos atribuirlo a la persona en s\u00ed, pero si son varias, da a pensar. \u00bfO ser\u00e1 que la organizaci\u00f3n estaba poblada de ineptos e ineficientes?<\/p>\n

El gerente general de gran humanidad del que les hablo y su equipo atienden al \u201cser humano\u201d que es cada colaborador y son sensibles a cada situaci\u00f3n particular con valoraci\u00f3n y agradecimiento. La intenci\u00f3n es muy clara: \u201ccuidar especialmente a cada persona encaminados a lograr lo mejor\u201d. Le auguro todos los \u00e9xitos m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del desenlace.<\/p>\n

Y ante esta realidad, pienso en esas personas con posiciones de alta responsabilidad y colaboradores a cargo, enfocados en tender redes solo para su conveniencia, en buscar las estrategias para mejorar solo sus posiciones, esos que no dan puntada sin hilo pensando en s\u00ed mismos, aquellos que est\u00e1n enfocados en su paquete de beneficios y\/o de retiro, esos que no van a lograr ni tener un equipo, ni generar compromiso y mucho menos, trascender y ser felices con lo que hacen.<\/p>\n

Si tenemos en cuenta nuestras capacidades cerebrales, nuestras neuronas espejo -esas que son la base de la empat\u00eda y que hacen que te asustes o te r\u00edas mirando un pel\u00edcula- detectan qu\u00e9 est\u00e1 pasando en el otro, qu\u00e9 siente, qu\u00e9 piensa\u2026 conscientes o no, lo percibimos y a\u00fan sin tener el mensaje claro nos damos cuenta de la concordancia o disonancia. Por eso cuando te levantes cada d\u00eda, m\u00edrate a los ojos y pens\u00e1 si te importan esas personas que de alguna forma u otra te reportan. Si la respuesta es no, es un buen momento para construir un camino diferente.<\/p>\n

Ser jefe te da un poder jer\u00e1rquico; ser l\u00edder se trata de los otros. \u00a1La diferencia la hac\u00e9s vos!<\/p>\n

In my early years of school, one of my favorite subjects was called Moral and Civic Education.<\/strong><\/p>

Depending on when each reader lived his childhood, he will know what I mean.<\/p>

For those who do not know, M.C.E. was a formal and compulsory subject in schools, which was intended to help educate good citizens, who knew their duties and rights.<\/p>

But this goal I only discovered recently, at that time the literal meaning of these words never occurred to me, I simply loved to paint the cartoons of the comic strips, the Brazilian flag, and to talk about the daily facts of my city and country. This was much cooler than decorating the tables or learning about things that had happened and stopped happening hundreds of years before I even existed!<\/p>

The other day, driving back to my house here in London, I watched people cross the street in front of me, and thought\u2026 how do the moral values of a culture or region directly reflect the everyday reality of an entire nation?<\/strong><\/p>

And I\u2019ve thought of all the countries I\u2019ve been to, which are dozens of them, and cultures in general, and how clear it is to understand which are those values established strongly from the cradle, in that culture of which that person did and of which he is a part.<\/p>

An IVH (Human Value Index) survey conducted by the UN (The United Nations) showed that in the opinion of Brazilians, in general, what it is necessary to change in Brazil for quality of life to improve is, first, education, followed by public policy, violence, moral values \u200b\u200band employment. In the State of S\u00e3o Paulo there was a variation in relation to the national opinion, with moral values \u200b\u200bfirst.<\/p>

Most likely, if the same survey were done in England or in any other country, the result would be another.<\/strong><\/p>

And it occurred to me: This applies not only to countries, but also to each of the families and the citizens.<\/p>

If we stop to think, we will see clearly how the values we experience (or not) in our home, influences our life in general.<\/p>

I particularly have two very strong and unshakable values, one is respect, and the other is honesty.<\/p>

I cannot imagine a satisfactorily happy life without the presence of one of these two values.<\/p>

And analyzing my reality, I see how everyone in my house also adopted the same guiding values, just as I adopted the values of the other members of my family.<\/p>

And in that I thought as I watched people cross the street\u2026 in the tranquility I was feeling, standing at the traffic light, with the glass open, and not even thinking about checking the mirror to make sure no one was approaching to rob me. And everyone around them was acting the same way.<\/strong><\/p>

The boy who appeared to be about 10 years of age crossing the street alone, with his school bag, talking on his iPhone, the executive with his backpack, who did not try to disguise the presence of a laptop, and the old man, who walked calmly on the street with his walking stick, not being hit by the other pedestrians, and not bothering to finish crossing quickly, just in case the green light turned red for him.<\/p>

And I realized the main reason for me to love London, is because people and their values, build a nation and (regardless of the weather), build the quality of life they have. (I\u2019m not just referring to London, but mentioning what I observed while thinking about it. Of course, I love Brazil a lot, however, for different reasons.)<\/p>

Our values build our reality, as long as we are congruent with them!<\/p>

After all, what good is it to value education if you\u2019re too lazy to read a book?<\/p>

Or honesty, if you\u2019re happy when you get a little extra change and you don't even consider returning the difference to the cashier?<\/p>
