La empat\u00eda es la capacidad de entender el estado de los dem\u00e1s diferenci\u00e1ndolo del nuestro.
\nNos capacita para comprender y reflexionar sobre los estados de las dem\u00e1s personas a nivel emocional, en relaci\u00f3n con sus creencias, acciones e intensiones. Es como sentir el dolor o la emoci\u00f3n que el otro siente y entender qu\u00e9 lo llev\u00f3 a hacer o decir determinada cosa. Se activa al\u00a0 nacer en la interacci\u00f3n con los otros y es modelada por nuestros referentes. Muy necesaria en el\u00a0 momento que estamos viviendo, y tiene que ver con la cooperaci\u00f3n, la responsabilidad y el compromiso con las dem\u00e1s personas.<\/p>\n
Al igual que el resto de las competencias humanas, la podemos desarrollar y potenciar. Y as\u00ed mantener relaciones interpersonales de alta calidad. La empat\u00eda es un aspecto fundamental de la inteligencia emocional, por lo que, favorece la felicidad y el \u00e9xito.<\/p>\n
Quiz\u00e1 te consider\u00e1s emp\u00e1tico o muy emp\u00e1tico y eso es muy bueno. Todav\u00eda lo es m\u00e1s, el saber que, es una capacidad podemos incrementar sin fin. Por eso, la invitaci\u00f3n es a aumentarla y tambi\u00e9n a que seamos modelos que impacten en nuestro entorno cercano, nuestras comunidades y nuestra sociedad.<\/p>\n
La ant\u00edtesis a una persona emp\u00e1tica es alguien que carece de ella o la ha desarrollado poco.
\nEstas personas tienen relaciones conflictivas, problemas en la comunicaci\u00f3n, soledad, estr\u00e9s, entre otros.<\/p>\n
\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los indicadores de la falta de empat\u00eda?
\n– Personas que est\u00e1n centradas en s\u00ed mismas.
\n– Tienen alto egocentrismo, considerando que lo que importa es lo que ellos quieren. Solo importan sus propios derechos y necesidades.
\n– Les cuesta comprender o malentienden las palabras y acciones de las otras personas.
\n– No logran separar el punto de vista propio del de los otros. Los limites est\u00e1n desdibujados y las propias motivaciones, deseos, emociones, etc. quedan mezcladas con las del otro.
\n– Tienen poco tacto para dar mensajes a los dem\u00e1s, no miden sus consecuencias y poco le importan.
\n– Tienen alta impaciencia, les cuesta o no les interesa esperar por el otro y lo que es importante para ellos, tiene que ser ya.
\n– Juzgan y etiquetan, gui\u00e1ndose por prejuicios y estereotipos.
\n– No miden tampoco el impacto de sus acciones en los dem\u00e1s.
\n– Sus relaciones tienden a ser superficiales en el menor grado y destructivas en el extremo.
\n– Tienen una conducta utilitarista y basan sus relaciones en este mismo sentido.
\n– Pueden solucionar sus problemas con agresividad y\/o violencia. No reparan en el da\u00f1o que sus acciones pueden ocasionar.<\/p>\n
La empat\u00eda est\u00e1 influenciada por nuestras experiencias y relaciones previas. Incrementarla, adem\u00e1s de mejorar nuestras relaciones y nuestro bienestar, impacta en aquellos para quienes somos modelos. Como los padres a hijos, l\u00edderes a colaboradores, docentes a estudiantes, y en definitiva todos quienes sean referentes, hasta los mismos pares.
\nDado que la empat\u00eda es una opci\u00f3n y se puede desarrollar, quiz\u00e1 te preguntes: \u00bfcu\u00e1les son los aspectos que la favorecen?
\n– Escuchar atentamente al otro, callando lo m\u00e1ximo posible nuestro di\u00e1logo interno -esa voz que nos habla, nuestros propios pensamientos constantes-.
\n– No interrumpir cuando nos hablan.
\n– Dejar los juicios y las etiquetas de lado.
\n– Diferenciar lo que es propio de lo que es del otro. Sea a nivel de pensamientos, acciones, intenciones, emociones\u2026
\n– Dar nuestro punto de vista como tal, no es la verdad, es lo que yo creo.
\n– Entender la comunicaci\u00f3n no verbal, es decir observar qu\u00e9 nos dice la persona con su mirada, su tono de voz, su postura\u2026
\n– Comprender a los otros, desde sus valores, sus creencias, su contexto y su historia.
\n– Ofrecer ayuda sincera y desinteresada, que no es hacer por el otro, es que la persona sepa que estamos disponibles.
\n– Reconocer a la otra persona, decirle eso que valor\u00e1s, destac\u00e1s, admir\u00e1s.
\n– Hacer preguntas en lugar de suponer o interpretar.
\n– Respetar sus creencias y emociones.
\n– Ser tolerantes con las diferencias. Y en lugar de enroscarse en discusiones, sumar perspectivas para crear algo nuevo que puede ser diferente a lo tuyo y lo del otro. Ser\u00e1 as\u00ed una nueva construcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
Es probable que est\u00e9s imaginando much\u00edsimos ejemplos. Est\u00e1n llenos los chats y las noticias de propuestas altamente emp\u00e1ticas y de las otras. Quiero destacar las primeras, desde vecinos festejando un cumplea\u00f1os, organizaciones y personas regalando para otros dinero, alimentos, servicios, su tiempo\u2026 much\u00edsimas son las propuestas creativas y solidarias.
\nRespecto a las otras, espero que cada vez m\u00e1s analicemos el impacto de lo que hacemos para por un lado no arrepentirnos y por sobre todo, para no hacer da\u00f1o. \u00a1Es momento de construir y sumar!<\/p>\n

This was much cooler than decorating the tables or learning about things that had happened and stopped happening hundreds of years before I even existed!<\/p> The other day, driving back to my house here in London, I watched people cross the street in front of me, and thought\u2026 how do the moral values of a culture or region directly reflect the everyday reality of an entire nation?<\/strong><\/p> And I\u2019ve thought of all the countries I\u2019ve been to, which are dozens of them, and cultures in general, and how clear it is to understand which are those values established strongly from the cradle, in that culture of which that person did and of which he is a part.<\/p> An IVH (Human Value Index) survey conducted by the UN (The United Nations) showed that in the opinion of Brazilians, in general, what it is necessary to change in Brazil for quality of life to improve is, first, education, followed by public policy, violence, moral values \u200b\u200band employment. In the State of S\u00e3o Paulo there was a variation in relation to the national opinion, with moral values \u200b\u200bfirst.<\/p> Most likely, if the same survey were done in England or in any other country, the result would be another.<\/strong><\/p> And it occurred to me: This applies not only to countries, but also to each of the families and the citizens.<\/p> If we stop to think, we will see clearly how the values we experience (or not) in our home, influences our life in general.<\/p> I particularly have two very strong and unshakable values, one is respect, and the other is honesty.<\/p> I cannot imagine a satisfactorily happy life without the presence of one of these two values.<\/p> And analyzing my reality, I see how everyone in my house also adopted the same guiding values, just as I adopted the values of the other members of my family.<\/p> And in that I thought as I watched people cross the street\u2026 in the tranquility I was feeling, standing at the traffic light, with the glass open, and not even thinking about checking the mirror to make sure no one was approaching to rob me. And everyone around them was acting the same way.<\/strong><\/p> The boy who appeared to be about 10 years of age crossing the street alone, with his school bag, talking on his iPhone, the executive with his backpack, who did not try to disguise the presence of a laptop, and the old man, who walked calmly on the street with his walking stick, not being hit by the other pedestrians, and not bothering to finish crossing quickly, just in case the green light turned red for him.<\/p> And I realized the main reason for me to love London, is because people and their values, build a nation and (regardless of the weather), build the quality of life they have. (I\u2019m not just referring to London, but mentioning what I observed while thinking about it. Of course, I love Brazil a lot, however, for different reasons.)<\/p> Our values build our reality, as long as we are congruent with them!<\/p> After all, what good is it to value education if you\u2019re too lazy to read a book?<\/p> Or honesty, if you\u2019re happy when you get a little extra change and you don't even consider returning the difference to the cashier?<\/p> Returning to Moral and Civic Education, and knowing that it is no longer compulsory in schools, what can each of us do to incorporate it into our routine to contribute to a more moral and civically satisfying society?<\/p>","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[130],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-64811","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-articulos"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
