KARYN TRADER-LEIGH
Dr. Karyn Trader-Leigh has provided Talent Development, Change Management, and Organization Development, consulting for more than 25 years. She is the co-owner of KTA Global Partners a Human Capital Consulting and Capacity Building firm based in metropolitan Washington DC, USA.
Karyn is certified as a coach and international trainer by the ICC. She focuses on executive and leadership coaching, the design of coaching systems to support development of emerging leaders, and coaching practices as a leadership style enhancing business results and high performing organizations. She is passionate about the development of human capacity and leveraging cultural and social intelligence across human interactions.
She also offers research, organization assessment, and diagnostic skills. As a researcher she has been involved in global and national studies several of which resulted in publications. Her article on Identifying Resistance in Managing Change; a case study in the U.S. State Department was recognized by the publisher for being downloaded globally 5000 times. She brings a breadth of experience from work with government and private sector, NGO’s and multilateral institutions, such as: IMF, United Nations, NASA, DOD, Glaxo, Save the Children, Sodexho, and Thyssen Krupp. She has consulted in Eastern Europe, lectured in the Peoples Republic of China, presented papers in Britain, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and The Czech Republic and lived and worked post conflict environments in West Africa.
Prior to managing a consulting practice, she worked as a Director of Human Resources, Employee Relations Director, and Director of Training and Organization Development in Aerospace and IT organizations. She has also served as Program Director and Researcher for the Joint Center for Political & Economic Studies and Associate Professor Hampton University School of Business.
As a certified coach she is committed to supporting accountability for achieving personal and professional goals, capitalizing on strengths, and mindfulness of behaviors and mindsets that limit one’s contribution to the collective or impede full realization of human potential. She provides pro bono coaching to Women Veterans (Officer and Enlisted) transitioning from the US ARMY.

Doctorate in Organization Change, Pepperdine University, MA, International Transactions School of Public Policy, George Mason University, Ethnic and Conflict Management Training from Central Eastern University and the Open society Institute in The Czech Republic, training at the Cleveland Gestalt Institute, member of International Coach Federation (ICF), International Leadership Association (ILA) and the Institute for Coaching Professional Association (ICPA) an affiliate of Harvard Medical focused on scientific foundations (evidence based) of coaching.
